Our mission is to accommodate the child who has no certainty of a healthy meal, the working families who cannot afford groceries, the senior citizen who must choose between food and medicine and those that are alone, cold and without a meal. Hunger does not discriminate. It exists everywhere. And it only exists because we allow it.
1st Choice has a proud tradition of community service that dates back to our beginnings. Project H.O.P.E., our 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization, places its primary focus on providing food to surrounding communities. Each year Project H.O.P.E. delivers Thanksgiving dinners to area shelters and families. In addition, we distribute school supplies, collect coats and warm blankets to donate to the community and offer job readiness training to men, women and children throughout the year.
